Construction Update

The front entrance with parking at the UMKC Administrative Center is closed for construction. Please use the entrances on the east, south and north ends of building. The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships will remain open for calls and email. UMKC Central will be relocating to its new office in Atterbury Student Success Center from July 27 to August 14. Walk-in services may be limited or not available during that time.

Award Overview

    • $7,500
  • Eligibility
    • No residency requirement*
    • ACT composite score of 30 or above
    • AND
    • High school core GPA of 3.65 or above
    • Working toward your first bachelor’s degree
    • Be a newly admitted, first-time college student beginning in Fall 2026 or after
  • Requirements
    • Full-time enrollment (12+ UMKC credits per semester)
    • Complete and earn 24 UMKC credits per year.
    • Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident
    • All first-time college students are considered for these awards with the exception of students in the schools of Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry and Law
    • Automatic scholarships cannot be combined with other automatic scholarships. You receive only the highest automatic award for which you qualify. 
  • Renewal requirement
    • 2.75 cumulative UMKC GPA for up to five years of undergraduate study
    • Full-time enrollment (12+ UMKC credits per semester)
    • Complete and earn 24 UMKC credits per year.
