Federal Pell Grants
Award Overview
- Academic year amount
- The amount you receive depends on your FAFSA information and enrollment. Students receive their maximum Pell Grant when enrolled full time each semester (12+ credits). The award will be reduced for less than full-time enrollment. Students should notify us if they will be enrolled in fewer than 12 credits per semester. Amounts can change yearly.
- Lifetime limits
- The amount of Federal Pell Grant funds you may receive over your lifetime is limited by federal law to be the equivalent of six years of full-time Pell Grant funding. If you enroll less than full time, you may receive a Pell Grant beyond six years. Because the maximum amount of Pell Grant funding you can receive each year is equal to 100%, the six-year equivalent is 600%. Check your percentage of Pell Grant received. If your Pell Grant percentage is less than 600%, you may still receive a Pell Grant.
- Eligibility
- Undergraduate students eligibility is based on financial need demonstrated on the FAFSA.
