Roos Give Back is the university-wide day of service. We partner with local Kansas City agencies to give back to the community.

Roos Give Back 2022

Along with the Student Government Association and Office of External Relations and Constituent Engagement, we're excited to partner with the local Kansas City community to host our annual UMKC Roos Give Back during UMKC Weekend of Service.

Tentative Schedule

8:30 a.m.–9 a.m. Check-in
9 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Formal welcome and instructions, followed by service projects

Tentative Location

Check-in takes place on the UMKC Volker Campus (more information will be released in Fall 2022). Transportation will be provided, or we will walk to locations on campus and in the community.

All UMKC students must use UMKC-sanctioned transportation when traveling to service sites.

Volunteering/Projects

Volunteers help support the mission of the community organizations. Sites are be pre-assigned.

Please wear clothing appropriate for lifting, moving and working outside. Wear a UMKC T-shirt if you have one. We will be giving out t-shirts during check-in on a first-come, first-served basis. Closed-toed shoes are required.
