About

Mr. Matt joined the staff in Fall 2023 and currently serves as the Coordinator for Fraternity and Sorority Affairs. He was born and raised in East Prairie, Missouri, and attended the Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO), where he obtained a degree in Corporate Communication and two minors in HR and Management. While at SMEO, he joined his fraternity, Phi Delta Theta where he held numerous leadership positions both on the executive board and different chair positions. Matt also served as two-time Student Body President and IFC VP of Community Service and Philanthropy. After graduating from SEMO Matt began working in the Greek Life Office where he advised the 10 IFC fraternities, 6 NPHC fraternities and sororities, and Greek Week. At the end of serving two years in the Greek Life Office Matt became the Greek/Group Area Hall Director where he oversaw 14 RAs/CAs, 10 buildings, 200+ residents, and was the co-chair of the departments DEI committee. While at Southeast Matt also advised the Black Student Union (BSU) and SEMO's first Stomp and Shake team.

In his free time, Matt serves as a volunteer for his fraternity, Phi Delta Theta as a Chapter Advisory Board (CAB) member and enjoys exploring new places to him both in the Kansas City area and other cities. Matt also is the owner of Stump Buster Fireworks, a firework tent located in Cape Girardeau!
