The UMKC Parent and Supporter Connection is UMKC's newest tool to stay up-to-date with important information, campus events and deadlines, and announcements regarding campus happenings. While some information can be found elsewhere, the portal provides it all on a single platform. You can also engage in the portal by commenting on posts and sharing with family and friends by reposting to external websites.

Communities are groups specific to a topic, area, or identity. Once signed up/logged in, users are automatically in some communities, such as "UMKC News," however others, such as "First Year Families," must be joined by individual users. Communities can be seen by clicking, "Discover Communities" on the bottom left-hand sidebar.

The portal is formatted as a newsfeed, enabling users to scroll through posts and articles as they are created. Newer posts will be featured towards the top of the newsfeed. If a post has been pinned, you may notice that it remains at the top of the newsfeed after a browser refresh or for multiple days. Pinned posts are typically important, or are especially pertinent at that time.
