Volunteer Your Time

Just a few hours of your time can make a big difference! Our volunteers work in the pantry, assist with donations and serve the organizations who donate to the pantry.

Volunteer duties

• Check individuals into the pantry
• Help fill out first time information sheets
• Complete request forms for pick up and check out
• Restock the pantry
• Load and unload vehicles
• Clean the pantry
• Demonstrate how Kangaroo Pantry works
• Work special events such as food drives and socials that help raise money and food donations
• Distribute flyers and promote events
• Drop off and collect bins for food drives

Time commitment

Shifts are a minimum of two hours and a maximum of 4 hours. To schedule a four-hour shift, select both two-hour shifts on the same day.

Training

You will be trained during your first volunteer shift at the pantry.
