Please Note: After significant discussions at the University about current serious health events, the 2020 Health Sciences Student Research Summit has been cancelled. We are truly sorry that the HSSRS event will not occur this year and appreciate your understanding of this unfortunate circumstance.
The UMKC Health Sciences Research Summit enables members of the UMKC health sciences community to display poster presentations in a forum that:
- Highlights the health sciences research being conducted in the UMKC Schools of Biological and Chemical Sciences, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing and Health Studies, Pharmacy, and Computing and Engineering;
- Fosters research collaborations across disciplines and schools that will produce economic, health, education and quality-of-life benefits for the greater Kansas City community.

- You can print your poster at any size. Typical poster sizes are 5’ wide by 3’ high, however there are a variety of sizes. The poster board that your poster will be affixed is typically 8’ wide and 4’ high. You are responsible for bringing your poster to the event to set up. We recommend arriving to the Student Union at 2:30 PM to check in, pick up your nametag, and set up your poster. Registering your poster information in REDCap reserves you a spot in the summit. You must register your poster in REDCap by March 27, 2020.
- Parking is available at UMKC parking garages for anyone with a UMKC parking permit. We recommend parking at the Cherry Street garage for its close proximity to the Student Union. The Cherry Street garage has metered parking on level 5. The Cherry Street Garage address is 5000 Cherry Street Kansas City, MO 64110.
