What is Wimba Classroom?
Wimba Classroom is a real-time virtual classroom environment designed for distance education and collaboration. Wimba Classroom allows faculty to create fully-featured live virtual classrooms in a content area in Blackboard. It supports audio, video, application sharing, content display, and an electronic whiteboard.

How can Wimba Classroom be used?
Wimba Classroom is integrated with UMKC's Blackboard. It allows both UMKC users and external users to collaborate in live class environment. Instructor can also archive a live class, or record lectures with Wimba for students to playback. Common uses of Wimba Classroom includes:
- Live, online classes
- Office hours
- Guest lectures
- Video lectures
