Please register in advance for the kickoff webinar event at noon Oct. 12 on Zoom to learn more about how you can help others in our community. The need for giving in Kansas City is greater than ever, due to the pandemic.

There will be opportunities to give throughout the campaign including payroll deduction and a virtual bingo event 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16.

With its partners and programs, United Way of Greater Kansas City works to provide health services, educate children and create financial stability for families in the Kansas City metro area. The UMKC campaign also gives to Community Health Charities, connecting more than 2,000 health charities across the United States with employees.

The co-chairs of this year’s campaign are Kimiko Black Gilmore, chief of staff in the chancellor’s office, and Kevin Z. Truman, dean of the School of Computing and Engineering.

We’ll keep you updated on the schedule, and we’d love to hear from you if you’ve been helped by United Way or Community Health Charities. Please contact Kimberly Johnson, johnsonkimd@umkc.edu.
