Available funds are approximately $172,000.  Students, faculty and staff are eligible to apply for grants in the $5,000 to $50,000 range to fund projects designed to expand entrepreneurial activities at UMKC. These grants support a variety of initiatives in entrepreneurship including curriculum development, technology commercialization, school and department initiatives, community service, engagement, and ecosystem building. Collaboration among groups is highly recommended.

The second application period is now open. Proposals must be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. Sunday, October 17. More information and an application form are available here. The program and the Kauffman grant that funds it, are the product of a joint effort by the UMKC Innovation Center, the Regnier Institute at the UMKC Bloch School of Management, and the UMKC School of Law.

Please note that proposals for this round of funding must not exceed one year in duration. All funds must be spent and the program implementation completed by December 15, 2022. Those that received funding in round one will not be eligible for funding from round two.
