Craig NormanA licensed pharmacist for 39 years, Norman serves as senior vice president for pharmacy at H-E-B, a retail grocery with stores throughout Texas and Mexico. He is responsible for 210 H-E-B pharmacies in which he oversees procurement, supply chain, managed care, technology and store operations with an emphasis on strategic planning, budgeting and business development.

Prior to joining H-E-B in 2007, Norman worked for 17 years at Costco Wholesale where he served as vice president of U.S. pharmacy operations.

Norman began his pharmacy career as a staff pharmacist in Kansas City and has held positions of pharmacy manager, regional pharmacy supervisor and assistant vice president of pharmacy operations.

He is active in the community as well, with positions on a number of boards and committees. Among those, he is actively involved with the UMKC Dean’s Advisory Council, the University of Texas College of Pharmacy Advisory Council, and the Texas Medical Association Foundation Board of Trustees. He is a member of the American Pharmacists Association, the Texas Pharmacy Association and is currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the American Cancer Society, Central and South Texas Area Board of Directors.

After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from UMKC, Norman participated in executive development programs including a seven-month program at Seattle University’s Albers Graduate School of Business in 2005.

He and Dana, his wife of 37 years, reside in San Antonio, Texas, and have two children, Zack and Holly.

The UMKC Alumni Awards ceremony is one of the university's largest events to support student scholarships. In the last decade, the Alumni Awards event has garnered more than $1 million in scholarships and immediate aid for UMKC students.
