The Linda H. and Thomas H. Talbott Scholarship is awarded annually to outstanding Honors Program students of all majors. Congratulations to this year’s recipients, Elaina Cronin (left) and Lana Peregrina (right).
Elaina is a freshman, direct-admit nursing major from New Haven, MO. She stays busy earning her CNA, training for a marathon, teaching herself guitar, and writing poetry. She also loves to hang out in the Honors Lounge and study at the Women’s Center. Elaina is currently in two Honors Discussion Groups and is excited to study abroad with the Honors Program in the Netherlands this summer. She is also involved in Professional Career Escalators and First Gen Roo.
Lana, a native of KCMO, is a freshman sociology major. She works two positions in the Honors Program: as an Office Assistant and an Honors Ambassador. She leads Honors volunteer initiatives and prioritizes community engagement, while maintaining a strong academic standing.
