The season of giving is here and UMKC is excited to launch our annual Holiday Food Drive! From November 17th to November 21st, we’re inviting faculty and staff to come together in the spirit of community and compassion to support our Roos in need.
We’ll be collecting nonperishable food items and hygiene essentials. All donations will go directly to the UMKC community, helping ensure that everyone can enjoy a warm, nourishing holiday season.
A Little Friendly Competition!
To make giving even more fun, Human Resources is offering a special treat to the team, department, or unit that donates the most items during the drive. Rally your colleagues, get creative with your collection boxes, and show off your UMKC spirit while giving back to our community.
To enter the competition, send a picture of your total donation with a count of items to umkchr@umkc.edu. Make sure to include a contact to be notified if you win.
Afterwards, you can drop off your donations at the following locations.
- For Volker, the pantry located in the Student Union room 102.
- For the Health Sciences District, the pantry located on the first floor of the School of Medicine
Every can, box, and bag makes a difference. Help spread the word, your support helps fight hunger and share hope this holiday season. Let’s show the strength of the UMKC community — together, we can make the holidays brighter for everyone.
