The School of Dentistry was proud to host students from our Reserved Admissions Program, which allows Kansas and Missouri residents, as well as eligible UMKC students, to apply during their sophomore year of college. Once a candidate meets the full criteria, a seat is reserved and they are allowed to bypass the traditional dental application process. The program is highly competitive and acceptances are limited based on program capacity.

Richard Bigham, Assistant Dean for Student Programs, gives a presentation

Students and their family listen to presentations given by School of Dentistry staff and faculty.

During their visit, students had the chance to connect with faculty, staff, and current dental students, tour our facilities, and participate in hands-on activities that gave them a preview of the dental student experience.

Throughout the admissions process, we have seen these students demonstrate academic excellence, a passion for dentistry, and commitment to serving their communities. We enjoyed sharing the day with them and look forward to welcoming them back as full-time students!
