The final day of orientation was stacked with fun!
The morning began with the annual tradition of a pancake breakfast, hosted by Chris Cakes. New students lined up for the challenge of catching pancakes on their plates as classmates watched and cheered them on.

It was a high-energy morning as students made their way to the Student Organization Fair, browsing the many clubs and organizations School of Dentistry students can join. Incoming students had the chance to connect with upperclassmen, who were eager to welcome them and share advice.

The new cohorts gathered to take their official class photos, marking the first time everyone stood together in their scrubs. Dean Paul Luepke stepped in as a surprise to take photos alongside them and celebrate the moment together.

The morning continued with a presentation on student success, an introduction to UMKC Police & Safety, and dental and dental hygiene faculty panels, all helping students prepare for the semester and become more familiar with the School of Dentistry community.

After the students enjoyed lunch and team-building games, the Office of Student Programs closed out orientation with a highly anticipated award celebration. They recognized the teams with the highest points from Wednesday’s Roos on the Loose scavenger hunt, and with that, orientation came to a close!

It was a pleasure to welcome the new dental and dental hygiene students to the School of Dentistry. We look forward to seeing all they will accomplish!
