The School of Dentistry community soaked up the sun on September 12 for the annual Smiles and Sets Sand Volleyball Tournament!

Dental and dental hygiene students of all levels formed teams, with a total of nine competing for the championship titles at the Sandbox in Kansas City.

The sun shone brighter as the day continued, and the courts came alive with high-fives and dives for the ball, proving to be a great team-building experience.

After giving it their all, two teams emerged victorious with the championships in their divisions.

For the second year in a row, Team Aiden won the Competitive Division, this year captained by D4 Maddie Janes!

The Canine Crushers took home the win for the Recreational Division, led by Assistant Dean for Student Programs Richard Bigham!

It was terrific to see our community join together in this annual tradition, from first-time players to returners hoping to defend their win. We look forward to hitting the courts again next year!
