Access to your Exchange email on your mobile device can be accomplished using Microsoft's Outlook mobile app. Using the Outlook app, you can sync your Exchange email, calendar, and contacts.

Microsoft Outlook App Configuration

If an introductory screen is shown on first launch of the app, tap Get Started.

Enter your email address in the form of <UMKC Username>@umkc.edu.

Tap Add Account or Continue.

If the account type is not automatically detected, select Exchange.

Toggle Advanced Settings.

Check that Server is mail.umsystem.edu.
-
Enter your UMKC Username and password.
-
On iOS enter UM-AD in Domain.
-
On Android enter UM-AD\<UMKC Username> in Domain\Username.

Enter a description or your choosing, ex.: UMKC Exchange.

Tap Sign In.

Tap Maybe Later or Skip on the add another account screen.

Swipe left to review highlights of some of the apps features or tap Skip.

On iOS, to enable notifications of recieved email and calender events, tap Turn On in the Enable Notifications popup.

Tap Allow in the notification permissions popup.

Once your Exchange email account setup is complete, you will be taken to your Inbox.

Select the topic you want to explore.

On iOS, tap the
Menu button.

Tap the
Settings button.

Toggle Focused Inbox off.

If you don't want your email grouped by subject, toggle Organize mail by thread off.

Tap the
Menu button.

Tap the
Settings button.

Tap your Exchange account under Accounts.

Toggle Save Contacts on.


















Duplicate Notifications and Contacts:
If you are recieving duplicate email or calendar notifications or have duplicates in your device's contact list, make sure you are not syncing your Exchange account using another app on your device.
