Getting Connected
At Home - You can check your email and access other
UMKC network resources from off campus locations. From home,
you must connect to the Internet through a
local service provider. A
VPN connection
is also required for access to some campus computing resources.

In the Residence Halls - Internet access is available
in residence hall rooms.
Please check with your RA for
more information.

In Your Office - Faculty and staff should check with
their IT
Liaison before attempting to connect computer equipment
to the wired network on campus.

In ILE Classrooms - Faculty can bring their
Mac laptops into ILE Classrooms at UMKC to use the multimedia
display options of those facilities. Training for connecting a Mac
to an ILE projection system is available from Classroom Technology Services.
