UMKC Student Webmail
New student? If you are a newly admitted student at UMKC, you'll need to set up your account by following the steps below.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your O365 account is a separate account from the one you use for Pathway, Blackboard, and other UMKC services.

If you have already completed these steps you may visit to check your mail.

  1. Click here to begin. Log in with your UMKC SSO and password (the same username and password you use for Pathway - if you don't know this password, visit our Password page. If you don't know your SSO, contact the IS Call Center).
  2. Make a note of the Windows Live ID and password. This Windows Live ID will be your O365 account username and email address.
  3. Close the setup window and return to this page.
  4. Visit and log in with and the password you received in step 1 (If you forget your password, you can return to the setup page to retrieve it).
  5. Finish setting up your O365 account by selecting the appropriate Time Zone and Language options.
  6. Change your password, if necessary (see instructions).
