Official Documents

Do I Need to Submit Official Academic Records?

  • In many cases, you can wait until after you are admitted to submit official documents. However, we reserve the right to request official documents before issuing a decision (admit or deny). We will email you if we require official documents during the application process. You can see some common requests in the individual country information below.
  • You might be required to show your official transcripts, mark sheets, diplomas, and degree certificates after you are admitted. If any documents are required, they will be listed on your admission letter. Read your admission letter carefully to determine which documents we have requested from you.
  • Documents that you upload to your online application portal or send by email are not considered official. Please do not upload academic records again after you have been admitted.
  • If we have requested documents in your admission letter, you will receive a hold on your student account. This hold will prevent you from enrolling.
    • You will be allowed to enroll for your first semester using unofficial documents.
    • You will not be able to enroll in any future semester until we receive all the official, final documents we request on your admission letter.
  • If fraud is discovered in any documents submitted at any time to UMKC, the university will take appropriate action, up to and including denying or revoking admission at any time, even after UMKC studies have begun.
