Degree Verification

Unless otherwise communicated, we require a verification report issued by China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center (CHESSIC) or China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center (CDGDC) for post-secondary degrees earned from The People’s Republic of China. The verification report should authenticate the degree certificate issued to the student.

Students who have completed a degree in the United States after completing a degree in The People’s Republic of China are exempt from this requirement.

If required, you must submit this report to ISAO before you will be allowed to enroll in your second semester of coursework at UMKC. A line-by-line English translation is required alongside the verification report. New students should arrange for one of these reports to be completed before arriving in the United States.

Students transferring without completing a degree from the Chinese institution must submit a CHESSIC report authenticating their transcript records available to date.
