Scholarship Opportunities

UMKC offers scholarship opportunities for international students at the time of admission. After you begin your studies at UMKC, you can ask your academic unit if they offer any additional scholarship opportunities.

You may also fund your education at UMKC with a variety of private scholarships.

UMKC is now offering the Dean’s International Scholar Award (DISA) to new bachelor’s and master’s students studying on F1 visas. The DISA is worth $4250/semester for bachelor’s degree students and $4000/semester for master’s degree students, which covers a large portion of the nonresident tuition rate. The summer semester amount is prorated based on your enrollment. It is awarded automatically upon admission and automatically renews each year if you maintain a 3.0 GPA at UMKC.

This offer excludes bachelor's and master’s degrees in our professional schools, such as the MS Bioinformatics in the School of Medicine.

If you have any questions about the DISA scholarship, please email finaid@umkc.edu
