Metered parking is available across campus with cashless mobile payment via the AMP Park app. We also offer a one-day permit for visitors in our self-service online portal.

Cost and Payment

How to pay with the AMP Park app

All metered parking on UMKC campuses is managed through the AMP Park mobile app. Physical coin-operated meters and pay stations no longer exist on campus.

Step-by-step instructions

1. Download the free AMP Park app on your smartphone
2. Select the area where you are parking on the map
3. Select the amount of time you would like to purchase
4. Add your license plate number, state it was issued and vehicle make
5. Add your payment information (credit or debit card)
6. Start your parking time

Account options

Save your information

If you will use AMP Park regularly on campus, save your account information. You can add multiple license plates if you drive different vehicles.

One-time use

You can enter information for a single parking session without creating an account.

Extend your time remotely

If your class or meeting runs longer than expected, you can add time to your parking session from your smartphone. You will receive a notification when you are nearing the end of your paid parking time.

AMP Park tips

• Cannot download the app? Pay at aimsmobilepay.com. Search for your parking area by entering "UMKC" into the location search.
• Avoid a ticket: Do not leave your vehicle until your payment has been made.
• Before submitting payment: Check that all required fields are filled out.
• Finding metered spaces: Signs in metered areas include QR codes you can scan with your smartphone to download the app directly.

One-day Permit

Single-day permits are available for purchase for $7 per day for visitors, students and employees.

Valid parking areas

• Visitor one-day permits: Valid in designated permit spaces in any lot on campus and in any metered area
• Faculty/staff one-day permits: Valid only in faculty/staff and student permit areas
• Student one-day permits: Valid only in student permit areas

Restricted parking areas

One-day permits are not valid in:

• Parking meters (for faculty/staff and student one-day permits)
• Accessible spaces (except with an appropriate state disability plate or placard)
• Driveways
• Authorized Vehicle Only spaces
• Any other space designated by signage for special purpose
