Office of the

Policy Library

Academic policies related to curriculum management, faculty affairs and program review and assessment, as well as registration and records

Our Policy Library contains the full text of official policies approved by the university as a resource for faculty, staff, and students. The Policy Library is not comprehensive and does not include links to unit-level policies and procedures. The UMKC Policy Committee and leadership may review and update policies at any time. When that happens, the committee notes the last update on the policy.

The policy library uses Box, which offers secure, content-rich, and user-friendly content sharing. The Box folder allows content to be stored online, so it can be accessed, managed, and shared from anywhere.

What Is a Policy?

  • Has broad application
  • Helps to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Enhances the university’s mission and provides operational efficiencies
  • Reduces institutional risk
  • changes infrequently and sets a course for the foreseeable future
  • requires executive-level sponsorship and approval
