Course description: The goal of this course is to expose students to the practice and potential of big data analytics and applications. Big data analytics focus on analyzing large amounts of data to find interesting patterns and useful information and to make use of the information for better business decisions. In this course, among various data, human motion data captured by sensors, machine learning to analyze interesting patterns from the perspectives of human activities and their contexts, and to apply the motion patterns to mobile applications such as health or education gaming are of particular interest. Course Description: Electric Power Laboratory course examines mathematically the laboratory assisted areas of power engineering of present interests to the consulting and manufacturing sectors. Topics covered will include phase shifts, neutral shifts, load imbalances, peaking order, asymmetrical parameters and their limitations, saturation, harmonic distortion, spring mass equivalents of the operating electric system, momentum and inertia and its place in the new renewable electric system, source impedances, Ferranti effects and Ferro resonance.
