Course description: The goal of this course is to expose students to the practice and potential of big data analytics and applications. Big data analytics focus on analyzing large amounts of data to find interesting patterns and useful information and to make use of the information for better business decisions. In this course, among various data, human motion data captured by sensors, machine learning to analyze interesting patterns from the perspectives of human activities and their contexts, and to apply the motion patterns to mobile applications such as health or education gaming are of particular interest.
