Roo Bucks

Roo Bucks is a stored-value account you can use on campus and at select off-campus locations. Funds carry over between semesters as long as you are enrolled. Roo Bucks are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Roo Bucks is not a meal plan.

Activate Your Account

Contact the Roo Card Office or call 816-235-6657 to activate your account before making your first deposit.

Add Money

  • Online through Get Funds ($2 minimum, $100 maximum)
  • In person at the Roo Card Office (cash, credit card, or Pathway account)

Pathway deposits have a $100 maximum and must be paid in full before adding more.

Where to Use Roo Bucks

  • All campus dining locations
  • University Bookstore
  • Printing in IS computer labs and Miller Nichols Library
  • Beverage vending machines
  • Off-campus merchants (see below)

Campus Printing

When you use all your print quota, Roo Bucks automatically pays for additional printing. Your balance will not display in PaperCut but will transfer when you submit a print job. If the job costs more than your available balance, it will not process.

For Merchants

UMKC partners with Off-Campus Advantage to bring Roo Bucks to local businesses. Participating merchants benefit from targeted marketing and access to student spending.
