This summer, the world’s eyes will be on Kansas City as FIFA World Cup™ comes to town. UMKC’s own connections to soccer will also be on display. We’ll be hosting the UMKC Family Soccer Fest. Our nationally ranked D1 men’s soccer team will be preparing for their next run. And our soccer partnerships with Sporting KC and KC Current will be in the spotlight as visitors from around the world come to Kansas City, the Soccer Capital of America®.
UMKC Family Soccer Fest
Be a part of the scene! UMKC is bringing our community together for a family-focused soccer celebration this summer. The UMKC Family Soccer Fest 5 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, June 27 at Roo Plaza will feature food trucks, face painting, games, soccer play, mascot visits, photo ops, swag and more.

UMKC sits right in the center of The Soccer Capital of America, and it shows with our NCAA Division I men's and women's soccer teams and partnerships with Kansas City's premier professional soccer teams.
