A collaboration between students and the university, the Student Success Center is specially designed to promote academic success. The offices located in the Student Success Center work together seamlessly to provide students with the support they need to develop, grow and graduate. The Student Success Center will play a key role in enhancing the overall student experience at UMKC.

A large, versatile meeting space, this room can be tailored for any event, whether it's a formal banquet or a students' talent show.

For Years 1 and 2, the office provides management of administrative and academic functions, including advising and scheduling and registration guidance for students.


Room 106 Cockefair Hall
Helps students develop critical-thinking, design and presentation skills. Participants can do research in a foreign country, apply for fellowships, and earn credit for research and creative projects.

Welcome Center

Visitors kick off campus tours at the Welcome Center. Visitors can also schedule group tours, pick up campus maps, find parking information and get answers to questions about the campus.

Writing Studio

Tutors help with a wide array of writing—from English to economics, music to science, to engineering and business. Services are available to undergraduate to graduate students.

Offers staff that is cross-trained in cashier, financial aid, records, admissions and registrar functions, providing a convenient focal point for answering questions and getting assistance.
