A confirmation fee is required for transfer students interested in attending UMKC. By paying this fee, you are officially accepting your offer of admission.
The transfer confirmation fee is $50 and covers new student programming and the UMKC OneCard. Students attending Transfer Student Orientation will pay an additional orientation registration fee.
To complete this process, check your application status. You will need the email address used when you created your application and a credit card in order to complete your acceptance of admission.
Each student at UMKC has a username and password they use to access various online tools. These are different than the username and password you used to apply to UMKC.
When you’re ready to activate your username, make sure you review your electronic admission decision letter located in your application status page, because it contains your username and student ID number.
Pathway is the tool that UMKC uses to track student registration. Students can use Pathway to register for classes or check their class schedules after they are enrolled at the university.
All students have a UMKC email address that is used for official university communications. Students must set up this email account before using and should check regularly to receive important information about their attendance at UMKC.
Admitted students should seek academic advising for assistance with enrolling in courses. All new students to UMKC have an academic advising hold placed on their student account that restricts them from enrolling. Please visit the UMKC Advising page to connect with your academic unit or department's advising office and set up an advising appointment.
Pathway allows students instant access to critical financial aid information. Log in using your UMKC username and the password provided in your Admissions packet.
For detailed assistance accepting your awards, view our How to Accept Your Financial Aid guide (PDF).
Students must submit final, official transcripts for all college-level coursework attempted. Conditional admission is granted to students who have outstanding admissions documents such as official transcripts complete with all coursework attempted and degrees awarded.
At time of admission, an item is added to a student's application checklist as a reminder that the student must submit final, official transcripts.
Failure to submit final, official transcripts may result in a student being ineligible to enroll in future terms.
Transfer work will not be posted to your UMKC academic record until we have received official transcripts directly from the transferring school or in a sealed envelope.
Please submit your official transcripts using one of these methods.

Virtual Orientation is mandatory for all Transfer students entering in the Fall 2021 semester.
The Orientation Team will send all transfer students the virtual orientation module in April 2021. Transfer students must complete the virtual orientation before enrolling in classes.
Transfer students are highly encouraged to attend the virtual person orientation this summer. The virtual orientation zoom session will supplement the virtual orientation module and is a great opportunity to learn more about campus, meet future roo’s, and prepare for the UMKC experience.
Nearpeer is UMKC's virtual platform that allows students with similar attributes and interests to connect. Nearpeer can help you meet classmates who are also transfer students, have the same major and may be in a similar place in their educational journey!
Nearpeer can be downloaded to your device in the Apple or Google Play app stores.
