Construction Update
The front entrance with parking at the UMKC Administrative Center is closed for construction. Please use the entrances on the east, south and north ends of building. The Office of Admissions and UMKC Central will be relocating to their new offices in Atterbury Student Success Center from July 27 to August 14. Applied Science

Biology
Choose among four emphasis areas: bioinformatics, biomedical sciences, biotechnology and clinical laboratory sciences. This bachelor's degree program includes an experience-based education course.
Business Administration
Choose among nine emphasis areas in this accredited program: analytics and business intelligence, entrepreneurship and innovation, finance, health administration, human resources management and leadership, marketing, nonprofit management, real estate and supply chain management.
Civil Engineering
The bachelor's degree in civil engineering provides students with broad knowledge in civil engineering leading to a variety of careers and professional licensure. Students participate in year-round internships, resulting in a 100% job placement rate for graduates.
Communication
The bachelor's degree in communication offers three emphasis areas: professional communication, digital journalism and media and strategic communication. Taught by working professionals, classes include hands-on experience through use of the AR/VR TV studio. Internship opportunities available.
Computer Science
Kansas City’s only accredited computer science program offers a B.A. or B.S. degree. Classes for both degrees focus on problem solving and programming, computer architecture, data communications and software engineering. The B.S. degree includes a cybersecurity emphasis area.
Criminal Justice and Criminology
This bachelor's degree allows you to integrate your work experience in the field into your coursework and includes internship opportunities and a partnership with the FBI Student Academy.
Electrical and Computer Engineering
Learn to identify, formulate and solve complex engineering problems to design and build the electronic circuits that power robots, AI, satellites and mobile phone systems from Kansas City's only accredited bachelor's degree program in engineering. Internship opportunities are included.
Health Sciences

Information Technology
The accredited bachelor's degree in information technology offers a cybersecurity emphasis area. Students gain professional experience from an internship requirement.
Legal Studies
Earn practical legal knowledge with this online master's program, designed for non-lawyers in fields such as human resources, healthcare and compliance.
Liberal Arts
The bachelor's degree in liberal arts offers flexible course requirements in the arts, humanities and sciences to develop highly sought-after skills. Can be completed entirely online.
Mechanical Engineering
Learn to analyze, design, manufacture and maintain mechanical systems in a variety of industries during the bachelor's program in mechanical engineering. Internship opportunities with local manufacturing and engineering firms available.
Nursing
The pre-licensure bachelor's degree in nursing includes clinical rotations and career fairs with local healthcare partners. Classes take place one to two days a week.
Pharmacy
The doctorate in pharmacy program prepares you for advanced levels of professional practice. Paid internships are required, and some employers offer tuition assistance.
