When Payments Arrive

The VA pays in arrears, which means they will pay at the beginning of each month for education pursued the previous month. For example, when you start class in August, the payment for that enrollment will not be sent until the beginning of September.

Debts Owed to the VA

Possible reasons for owing money to the VA:

• Withdrawing from a course or courses after the first day of the term
• Grade replacement via the GPA Adjustment Form (PDF)
