The University of Missouri-Kansas City offers hundreds of undergraduate, graduate and professional academic choices. The University is comprised of 13 academic divisions including: the College of Arts and Sciences, Conservatory of Music and Dance, Henry W. Bloch School of Business and Public Administration, School of Biological Sciences, School of Computing and Engineering, School of Dentistry, School of Education, School of Law, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy, School of Graduate Studies and University Libraries.

UMKC’s College of Arts and Sciences, also known as the College of A&S, is the original school of the University. The College, now the largest on campus, houses three departments including the Humanities, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences.

Conservatory of Music and Dance

The UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance has earned national and international recognition through its innovative programming that advances the arts and creative expression as fundamental to fulfilled lives and central to a successful international citizenry. UMKC’s School of Computing and Engineering strives to be one of the best school’s in the region, offering students exposure to the latest computing and engineering trends in computer science, electrical, civil and mechanical engineering. School of Medicine

In only six years, medical students can attend class year round and earn their B.A./M.D. degrees through UMKC’s School of Medicine’s innovative curriculum. The School of Medicine is located on the Hospital Hill campus. Its curriculum allows high school graduates, who are accepted into the medical school, to immediately become medical students. The School’s faculty offers a strong core education in M.D. training through course study and clinical skills and research.

University Libraries

UMKC Libraries are the hub of learning for students, researchers, and our neighbors. Not only the home of books, the Libraries also link users to a world of scholarly information available through licensed online databases and journals and a vast network of reciprocal borrowing agreements. Our Web-based resources allow users to bring the library with them to the comfortable and inviting study spaces located throughout the library buildings or even to their own office or dorm. Moreover, expert librarians and staff provide research assistance and unparalleled library services in person or over the phone or Internet. Miller Nichols Library, UMKC’s largest library, houses the general collection, Music/Media Library, LaBudde Special Collections and Marr Sound Archives. The Dental Library and Health Sciences Library serve students and researchers in those disciplines. Partnering with the Leon E. Bloch Law Library and Linda Hall Library, University Libraries are Kansas City’s comprehensive public research libraries.
