Community Service & Philanthropy
UMKC’s fraternities and sororities support a strong tradition of service to the campus and the greater Kansas City community. Each chapter recognizes local and national organizations in need of aid and donate money through their philanthropic and service projects. The members of the Fraternity and Sorority community also donate numerous hours to different charities. The Fraternal community as a whole volunteers their time to local organizations to help the community and build a stronger community. Each year our community participates in community wide community service events, through the university of events specifically coordinated by the fraternity and sorority community. Greek Week also is a time when our community supports a philanthropic organization and volunteers to numerous hours through community service projects.
