Student Involvement

Academic Advising

The general purpose of the advising system is to help students plan programs, to help with academic matters, to provide information about graduation and degree requirements and to approve students’ official programs for registration each semester.  It’s the student’s responsibility to confer with the appropriate adviser and to take the initiative in seeking academic advising when it is needed. Each academic unit has a student services office to assist students. Faculty and/or staff members are designated as undergraduate advisers.
Graduate students should seek advisement through the department in their area of interest.
