The Financial Aid and Scholarships Office (FASO) have many options available to assist students. Scholarships, grants, loans and work opportunities are available to qualified students. Most programs require completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It is important that students interested in financial aid apply as soon as possible, preferably by March 1 of the preceding academic year. FASO administers all UMKC-sponsored scholarship programs and coordinates the delivery of most academic unit scholarships. The office also functions as a resource center for many outside local, national and international scholarship opportunities. In addition, low-cost, short-term and emergency loans are available through FASO. For more information on any of these programs, students should contact the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday or between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
