New Student Email System
The new student e-mail system is now available for you to opt-in! The
University of Missouri has partnered with Microsoft to provide enhanced e-mail
services for students through the Microsoft Windows Live program. The new
e-mail system, called Outlook Live, offers 10 gigabytes of e-mail storage,
calendaring services, SkyDrive on-line document storage, integration with the
University's Global Address List, and many other services. In addition, you
will be able to continue using your Outlook Live e-mail account after you
graduate. It is our goal to have all currently-enrolled students moved to the
new system by December 31, 2009-

To find out more about the new features and how you can obtain an Outlook Live
account, go to UMKC's Outlook Live Transition Web page. You may also contact
the UMKC IS Call Center (816-235-2000) with any questions you may have about
this new system.
NOTICE:
We have had several reports from students who are not able to use the system-generated temporary passwords to log into the Outlook Live system. Students who are unable to log into the Outlook Live system after waiting over two hours for account conversion will need to contact the IS Call Center via phone at 816.235.2000 between the hours of 7am - 7pm Monday through Thursday, and 7am - 5pm on Friday. Please have your Student ID number available when you call and we can reset your temporary password to another value.
New Printing and Copying Services
Over the summer months, Information Services and the University Libraries partnered on a project to enhance printing and copying in the IS Labs and University Libraries. The new system works seamlessly with Roo Bucks (UMKC's One Card system) so students will be able to easily print or copy beyond their weekly print quota. Students will no longer need to purchase separate cards for printing or copying once the system is fully implemented in the Library. In addition to streamlining print and copy services, sustainability requires reducing paper waste and decreasing overall printing.
