There are a variety of nationally competitive scholarships and fellowships for you to consider. Some awards, as noted, require participation in a campus process in order to apply.

AAUW American Fellowships

Support women scholars who are pursuing full-time study to complete dissertations, conducting postdoctoral research full time, or preparing research for publication for eight consecutive weeks.

AAUW International Fellowships

Provide support for women pursuing full-time graduate or postdoctoral study in the U.S. who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and who intend to return to their home country to pursue a professional career.

AAUW Selected Professions Fellowships

Awarded to women who intend to pursue a full-time course of study at accredited U.S. institutions during the fellowship year in one of the designated master's degree programs where women's participation traditionally has been low.

American India Foundation Banyan Impact Fellowship

The AIF Banyan Impact Fellowship places young professionals from the U.S. and India in service with communities and organizations across the two countries for mutual learning, capacity building, and leadership development in support of social justice.

Amgen Scholars Program

American-Scandinavian Foundation Fellowships and Grants for Americans

The ASF offers year-long and short-term fellowships to graduate students and academic professionals interested in pursuing research in the Nordic region.

Blakemore Freeman Fellowship

This fellowship is awarded for one academic year of advanced level language study in East or Southeast Asia.

Boren Fellowship

The Boren Fellowship funds research and language study proposals by graduate students in world regions critical to U.S. interests.

Boren Scholarship

The Boren Scholarship funds study abroad by undergraduate students in world regions that are critical to U.S. interests and underrepresented in study abroad.

Brooke Owens Fellowship

This fellowship is open to anyone who identifies as a woman or other type of gender minority and is interested in a career in any facet of the aerospace community.

Carnegie Mellon University Rales Fellows

This program provides funding for STEM students to pursue a graduate degree at Carnegie Mellon University, with priority for underrepresented students.

CBYX for Young Professionals
