Police Report CopiesCopies of your vehicular accident reports are available at the UMKC Police Department 7-10 working days after you make your report for a fee of $5 cash only (call ahead to check for availability). Non-vehicular police reports must be requested through the University of Missouri Custodian of Records records request portal. You can access the portal on the Custodian of Records website located at https://www.umsystem.edu/ums/ur/custodian-of-records.
The UMKC Police Department patrol vehicles are equipped with jumper
cables. Patrol officers will be happy to make the cables available to
motorists and assist where possible.
Vehicle Lockout Assistance
If you lock your keys in your vehicle on campus, officers will be happy to attempt to unlock your vehicle.
Personal Escort Services
If you require an escort to your vehicle or residence hall, contact the UMKC
Police at 235-1515.
Bicycle registration service is available through the UMKC Police at 5005 Oak.
Fingerprinting service is available to UMKC students, faculty and staff at UMKC Police Headquarters, 5005 Oak, by appointment only Monday through Friday from 7:30 am - 10:30 am and 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm. These are ink prints, not digital. The non-refundable charge is $15 per fingerprint card. We accept exact change cash only. No check or charge. Call 816/ 235-1515 for an appointment. NO WALK-INS
