Math Placement Tests
MyMathTest, from Pearson Publishing, offers three math placement tests.
- Intermediate Algebra
- College Algebra
- Pre-Calculus
About the tests
- The tests are free of charge, and you may retake the test as many times as you like — the questions are different each time. The best way to improve your results is to use the free training modules available on Canvas.
- The math placement tests are available year-round, except for short periods in late January to early February and late August to early September.
- Please take the required math placement tests at least 24 hours before enrolling in your desired courses. Your score is valid for 11 months from the time you took the test.
- ALEKS scores are good for six months from the date you took the test, or until end of Spring 2022.

How to take MyMathTest tests
- The number of questions on each test varies from 25–30. You will have 90 minutes to complete each test.
- You may take the tests on different days, but you should always complete the test on the day you start it.
- You will need paper and a pencil.
- Once you submit an answer, you cannot change it.
- Unauthorized assistance such as from another person, a website other than the MyMathTest website, textbooks, notes and other related content is prohibited. Students found receiving or giving aid, will be in violation of the Academic Honesty and Student Code of Conduct.
