Amanda Lague (She/Her)

Assistant Director
Professional Career Escalators

Amanda completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology with minors in Leadership Studies and Conflict Analysis and Trauma Studies at Kansas State University. During her undergraduate career, she served as a peer Career Specialist at the university’s Career Center which sparked her passion for developing students. Before transitioning to higher education, Amanda spent the first five years of her career in a corporate setting in learning and development, leading professional development and leadership and management training programs for employees; she also helped lead the company’s collegiate internship program. She is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, Certified BlueEQ facilitator, and a Certified DDI Facilitator. Amanda’s combined experience in talent development, career services, and post-grad career and leadership development has led her to pursue her career in helping students thrive during and especially after college. She believes it takes a village to help young adults thrive after college, and she is thrilled to be part of the “village” at UMKC!

Amanda is a wife, dog mom, and has her first baby on the way! She enjoys spending time with her church community and family, loves a good coffee shop meet-up, dreams of working in a floral shop, is a wannabe interior designer, and will never say no to cookie cake.
