Biography

Kirby Slaughter (xey/they) is a doctoral student in Kansas City University’s Clinical Psychology PsyD program. Xey completed xyr undergraduate education at Rockhurst University, earning a B.A. in psychology. Kirby’s approach is integrative, incorporating existential therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Kirby’s areas of clinical interest include anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, LGBTQIA+ issues, and the development of intersecting identities. In xyr spare time, Kirby enjoys going on walks, puzzling, and exploring antique and thrift shops with others.
