Clinical Training
UMKC Counseling Services offers several clinical training opportunities for students enrolled in masters or doctoral level clinical or counseling psychology programs. Our center offers two full-time doctoral internship positions as part of our training program that is accredited by the American Psychological Association.
Doctoral Internship
UMKC Counseling Services offers a 2000 hour, 1 year, full time training experience. We offer two full-time doctoral internship positions as part of our training program that is accredited by the American Psychological Association.
MA/PhD Counseling Practicum
The Counseling Practicum enables a student to meet the requirements for internship or practicum as outlined by the Counseling Psychology and/or Clinical Psychology Department. The master’s internship and advanced practicum are both approximately 16-20 hours per week for two consecutive semesters, beginning in August.
