Welcome to SEARCH, where students engage in artistic and academic research. SEARCH supports undergraduate research in all disciplines, from the performing arts to the sciences.
What is research?
Research is the process of creating new knowledge. Research can take many forms, from scientific theory testing to artistic endeavors.Many people think of research as gathering scientific data, but this is just one facet of SEARCH. Projects can include performing arts, visual arts and humanities, history, medicine - you name it!
SEARCH provides undergraduate students at UMKC the opportunity to explore a specific area of interest with the help of a faculty mentor.
