Unrecognized Fraternities and Sororities

Unrecognized fraternities and sororities exist off-campus and do not follow the UMKC policies and regulations or the requirements and policies of their governing council. In many cases, these organizations operate like recognized organizations, but they are not affiliated with UMKC. These organizations do not have any of the privileges recognized organizations have earned.

UMKC cannot recommend that students join or participate in any sponsored activity by the listed groups. These groups have not met the health and safety standards established by UMKC for approved student organizations and are not accountable to any university policies or procedures.

There are currently no unrecognized fraternities or sororities.
