The Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration is a critical member of the chancellor’s executive leadership team. The university is looking for a key leader and visionary who will be responsible for budgetary and financial accountability, optimization of fiscal and physical resources across the university, and creating financial and administrative strategies to support and enhance institutional goals.

Chancellor C. Mauli Agrawal will be involved in the search process. Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Jenny Lundgren will chair the search committee; the full roster is below. The university is working with an executive search firm to recruit a highly qualified and diverse candidate pool for the committee's consideration.

“We have begun the search for an experienced leader who will help cultivate, evaluate and implement new ideas and strategies that further the goals of the university's Strategic Plan and UMKC Forward,” said Agrawal. “I want to extend a sincere thank you to Sharon Lindenbaum for her many years of service in this position.”
