Enrollment Confirmation Deadline Extended

The UMKC priority confirmation deadline for Fall 2024 has been extended to May 15 to allow for FAFSA processing.

Explore Our Programs

There are more than 125 areas of study available to you; however, dentistry and pharmacy programs do not admit community students. Performance classes through the Conservatory require an audition, but those taken through the Conservatory Academy do not.

Continuing Education Opportunities

Several of our schools offer programs specifically for professionals in the Kansas City community. These courses don't require a UMKC application.

Affordable Options for Older Students

We partner with programs that encourage older students to keep learning and eliminate barriers to participation.

Classes and events

Senior Peers Actively Renewing Knowledge (SPARK) organizes classes, book groups, tours and outings for its members at a modest cost. You do not have to apply to UMKC to join.

Course-based instruction

Missouri residents who are 65 or older can apply to UMKC to audit courses, minus our professional programs, in which there is a seat available and they fulfill any prerequisites.
