Affordability

We know college is one of the biggest investments you’ll ever make. That's why affordability is a top priority at UMKC.

Enrolling at UMKC is a wise investment in your future. UMKC offers an exceptional college experience at a reasonable cost, and financial aid is available for most students. In fact, more than 90 percent of freshmen and more than 75 percent of transfer students receive some combination of scholarships, grants, loans and work-study jobs.

Scholarships

UMKC offers a wide range of scholarships for incoming and current students that are based on merit, financial need or special abilities. Automatic and competitive awards are given at the university level and some are available within each school or department. Likewise, there are scholarship awards for minority students, LGBTQIA students and veterans.
