Career Services is proud to introduce the Career Bridge Program and is actively seeking dedicated faculty partners to help us extend its reach, enabling students to acquire essential skills, gain invaluable experiences, and build professional networks essential for success in their chosen careers.

Our Mission

To cultivate a holistic approach to career readiness, facilitated by faculty partners who will design career-oriented experiences that seamlessly integrate career competencies with course curricula.

Key Role of Faculty

Faculty members will be pivotal in crafting and delivering customized programs that foster career readiness. Their expertise, combined with the support of Career Services, will create an enriching learning experience that bridges the divide between theoretical knowledge and practical career competencies. This approach ensures students excel academically while developing the confidence and skills necessary to thrive in their professions.

Financial Support and Recognition

To honor the dedication of our faculty partners, each will receive a $2,500 stipend (paid to Faculty), acknowledging their indispensable contribution to the program's success. Moreover, a dedicated budget of $1,500 (Program supplies) will be allocated to each partner to develop and execute impactful programming. This financial support reflects our commitment to nurturing both student and faculty success.

Our Commitment

The Career Bridge Program embodies our unwavering commitment to empowering students, fostering their professional growth, and supporting faculty members devoted to student career success. With faculty partners steering this endeavor, we are confident that our students will be exceptionally well-prepared to transition successfully from academia to their desired careers. In collaboration with the UMKC’s Career Development Specialist, our offices will provide support throughout the application and program process
