ART-HIST 429WI American Painting And Sculpture

A study of the history of painting and sculpture, and other figurative arts, from earliest colonial times to the present. Emphasis will be placed on those artists who illuminate the major achievements in American art, and also the ongoing role played by European training and tradition. Prerequisite: ART-HIST 303 or permission of the instructor and successful completion of the WEPT (effective FS93).
